| Biography: | Janie Cohen is director of UVM's Robert Hull Fleming Museum. During her first year in this position, she facilitated two major exhibitions at the Fleming: REMBRANDT AND THE ART OF ETCHING:
PRINTS FROM THE REMBRANDT HOUSE MUSEUM, AMSTERDAM (9/03-12/03) and ANDY WORHOL WORK AND PLAY (1/03-06/03). Cohen previously served as the Fleming's curator and assistant director for more than a decade. Cohen has knowledge and expertise of the museum world, fund raising and grant writing. She has curated many notable exhibitions at the Fleming, including the first U.S. exhibition of German visual artist Günter Grass and the first Picasso exhibition in Vermont. She also has contributed to numerous publications about Picasso's works. |
