| Biography: | Dickinson's research focuses on Eastern Europe, in particular Ukraine and the Transcarpathia region. Her research covers a broad range of areas, including linguistic anthropology, conversational interaction, anthropology of work and undertanding social and economic transformation in post-Soviet states. Her most recent research focuses on the development of advertising and consumer culture in Ukraine since 1991.
