| Biography: | Leff's primary research interest and activity currently focus on the psychology of art and creativity. One central project involves interviewing artists and conducting experimental studies on the cognitive and affective processes involved in making art. He has been especially interested in the effects of regarding everyday activities as art forms and have been collecting numerous protocols on people's experiences as they do this as an extended course exercise or as part of experiments. His goal is to find new metacognitive approaches to enriching everyday experience and creativity.Leff is a member of the psychology and arts division of the American Psychological Association.His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health and National Science Foundation. Leff has published several books and numerous articles in professional journals. His artistic work lately has focused on a new form of sculpture based on a kinetic reflective visual effects system.
