| Biography: | Pinder's areas of expertise are groundwater behavior, numerical modeling and experimental studies of multiphase media. Pinder was formerly a research hydrologist for the U.S. Geological Survey's Water Resources Division. He has written six books on groundwater hydrology and contamination, the modeling of these phenomena and numerical mathematics. His honors include the Horton Award, presented by the American Geophysical Union, and the O.E. Meinzer Award, presented by the Geological Society of America for outstanding contributions to the field of hydrology. |
