| Biography: | Nichols has been a program coordinator and graduate faculty member of UVM's Counseling Program since 1997. He serves as primary administrator/coordinator of CACREP - an accredited graduate program leading to M.S. degree in school, community and/or mental health counseling. His publications include a self-assessment program for teacher education, "Contemporary Education." He is a pyschologist with a private practice in Burlington and has provided training and consultation in cultural diversity and gender issues for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Nichols is a UVM alumnus, earning bachelor's and master's degree at UVM in 1970 and 1975, respectively. He completed his doctoral studies at Arizona State University, where his dissertation was on "Effect of Gender, Age and Disease Progression on Emotional Adjustment in Multiple Sclerosis Patients." |
