| Biography: | Brookes Cowan is a specialist in and practitioner of bereavement counseling, and teaches courses in the area of family, sex roles, death and dying, and mental health. She has developed and will be administering and evaluating a $50,000 grant from the Department of Aging and Disability to the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging for respite for caregivers to family members with irreversible dementia. She has also received approval for a research project on "Lesbian Daughters as Caregivers to their Dependent Elderly Parents." |
