|Biography:||Dr. Beynnon is a member of an internationally recognized team of sports medicine researchers here at the University of Vermont College of Medicine who have studied and published extensively on sports injuries and rehabilitation. Dr. Beynnon's recent research includes clinical studies designed to evaluate different anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgical techniques and rehabilitation with particular concern on the long-term stability of the knee and return to full activity, examination of how changes in the design of total joint components can influence their behavior, and the influence of abnormal joint loads on the initiation and progression of osteoarthritis.
A member of a number of national and international professional societies, Dr. Beynnon contributes to and reviews a number of journals focused on the spine, shoulder, knee and ankle disorders. He is lead author on these recent publications:
