Biography:Woolf's recent work is directed to promotion of economic education in Vermont's K-12 schools. He established a Vermont Council on Economic Education, part of a national network. His areas of interests, as well as the courses he teaches, are history of the American economy and the economy of Vermont. Among Woolf's publications are: "Finances: Taxation" (in Vermont State Government Since 1965, University of Vermont, 1999); and "The Economics, and Economic Analysis, of Boom and Bust" (in The Fiscal Crisis in the States: Lessons From the Northeast" (Edmund S. Muskie Institute of Public Affairs, Univ. of Southern Maine, 1993).
