America East Release
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Vermont freshman Megan MacDonald (Wayland, Mass.) has been named the America East Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 6. It is the second time in three weeks she has earned the honor. MacDonald scored a team-high four goals in Vermont's win over Albany and added another tally in a loss to Dartmouth. She converted a free position shot with 45 second remaining in regulation against the Great Danes to tie up the game and set up UVM's game-winning goal with 1.8 seconds left. MacDonald has scored at least one goal in eight straight games. She ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 22 points on 17 goals and five assists on the year. McDonald has also collected 27 draw controls, ranking among the top five in the league, and 21 ground balls for the Catamounts. Vermont stands at 6-5 overall and is 3-1 in America East action.
