UVM's Diversity and Equity unit offers a week of welcome activities in several casual meet and greets as the academic year begins.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer/Questioning, and Advocate (LGBTQA) Center at UVM would like to invite staff, faculty, and their families to join us at our annual Welcome Back Family BBQ on Saturday, September 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 outside of Allen House (corner of S. Prospect & Main).  Enjoy FREE burgers, hot dogs (veggie burgers and tofu pups too!), homemade sides and main dishes, and of course our candy and caramel apple-making station with apples from the UVM Horticulture Farm!  Come listen to great music, have fun, and connect with the many students, staff, and faculty that comprise our LGBTQ & Advocate community at UVM.  This is a well-attended event and a great opportunity to meet students.  People wishing to volunteer to help us kick off the new academic year and/or offices interested in tabling should e-mail lgbtqa@uvm.edu or call 802-656-8637.
