Screenings Open to Active and Retired UVM Employees

The Eleanor M. Luse Center Audiology Clinic, part of the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD), will offer free hearing screenings for active and retired UVM faculty and staff on Thursday, February 28 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, and Friday, March 1 from 9:00 AM to noon. Hearing screenings will be conducted in a sound treated booth by students in the CSD department and supervised by clinical faculty who are licensed audiologists. Results will be shared immediately and preliminary recommendations will be made.

These screenings are running in conjunction with a hearing aid benefit pilot project offered by the Eleanor M. Luse Center and the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders.  Please note that these screenings are not full diagnostic evaluations, but rather brief assessments to determine if hearing loss may be present, with appropriate referrals for follow-up if necessary.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling 656-3861.

The Eleanor M. Luse Center for Communication is located in Pomeroy Hall at 489 Main Street. Parking is available in the adjoining lot.
