To comply with federal financial aid regulations, faculty must submit a last date of attendance for any non-passing grade: F, XF, U, NP, UP, and for students who do not successfully complete an Audit. If a student failed upon completion of the course, enter the date of the final exam or, if no final exam was given, enter the last date the class met. If a student failed because s/he stopped attending, enter the last date the student attended or participated in the course.

A new field displays on the Final Grade sheet. If a non-passing grade is entered, an edit requires that the last date of attendance be provided.
