Folk Music Club Jam Session
Calling all fiddlers, guitarists, banjoists, mandolinists, vocalists, bassists, harmonica-ists, and general musician-ists! Looking to play some old familiar tunes or learn some new ones? Trying to find that right niche with the right folk where you can jam on some great music? Well come check out UVM?s Folk Music Club!
The FMC works to introduce members of the University and the Burlington community to traditional music of all kinds through concerts, workshops, and hands-on playing/singing experience. While we mostly focus on Appalachian and Americana Folk traditions, we welcome ALL types of traditional music, from the US and from around the globe. We meet every Friday in L/L 216 for music sessions from 4:00-5:00pm. We host a variety of concerts and contra dances throughout the semester, as well as a three day music festival every spring, bringing artists such as Bruce Molsky, Alan Jabbour, Rafe Stefanini, and Crowfoot. Hope to see you soon!
