SELF-DIRECTED PATHWAYS FOR CARE: New Choices for Elders and People with Disabilities

Recent trends, including demographic transitions and changes in public policy, have resulted in increased demand for community-based long-term services and supports to assist older adults and persons with disabilities in their preferred home settings. New directions in long-term care aim to promote choice and maximize autonomy.

Come talk with practitioners, students, faculty and community partners about new options in long-term services and supports. Together, we will explore 1) Person-Centered, Participant-Directed Care, 2) Perspectives of Service Users and Providers, and 3) Ethics of Community-Based Care.

Refreshments will be provided. Three (3) CEUs (1 Ethics) will be available to participants.
