Canada's Tar Sands Exposed: Exploring the Human and Environmental Costs
Beaver Lake Cree and First Nation Activist Crystal Lameman, National Geographic Photographer Garth Lenz, and two other speakers, will engage participants experientially, via a "conversation" with individuals directly affected by tar sands development or working to stop it. This intimate sharing aims to provoke involvement from the general public. The power of these first-hand storytellers hopes to moves the issue from the abstract to the concrete, and compel the audience to take action.
