Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration - Julian Bond
Julian Bond, activist and leader in the Civil Rights Movement, former chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and founder of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, will be the keynote speaker for our Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration. There will be a special tribute to Nelson Mandela (Mandiba). Doors open at 3 p.m.
THIS IS A TICKETED EVENT. Tickets are FREE and available per the following schedule. Starting Monday, January 13, tickets are available to UVM students, faculty and staff (1 ticket with UVM ID). Starting Friday, January 17, tickets are open to the general public (1 per person). Tickets are limited and available at the following locations during business hours:
--Dudley H. Davis Center, 3rd Floor Information Desk
--Waterman Building, Registrar's Office Student Service Center Kiosk (3rd Floor)
Please note that the Registrar's Office Student Service Center Kiosk will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2014 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
