Understanding Plants to Improve Pasture Management

The Center for Sustainable Ag. is a co-sponsor of this training session for farmers, NRCS employees, and partners. Topics covered include: woody and herbaceous plants suitable for grazing, plant identification, how plants grow, and how to avoid overgrazing for an optimal summer feed management program. The workshop will also highlight NRCS conservation practices used in grazing management systems. This workshop is open to the public. Farmers will gain a better understanding of NRCS’ conservation practices and grazing planning approach.
