Location: Carson Farm, Newbury, VT
Description: 2015 Youth Farm Safety Day, Carson Farm, 187 Montebello Road, Newbury, Vt. Open to all youth ages 12-18. Free, with lunch provided. Sponsored by the Northeast Agricultural Education Foundation, Inc.; Co-Operative Insurance Companies; Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets; and UVM Extension. Hands-on workshops: Fire extinguisher operation; How to safely handle livestock; Tractor and machinery safety; and Basic farm first aid.
