Each spring, Physical Plant mechanics must perform an annual shut down of the Central Heating & Cooling Plant for mandatory inspections and repairs to the equipment and the utility distribution infrastructure. The annual shutdown usually takes place immediately after Commencement to minimize the disruption to the campus community.
