The Medplex Maintenance Shop exists to maintain and repair facilities
at the UVM Medical Complex.
- Carpentry - Repairing walls, ceilings, cabinets, stairs,
floors,
trim, and some furniture. Repairing paneling, sheet rock, windows,
auditorium
seats, doors and hardware. Installing bookshelves. Exterior and
interior masonry repair.
- Painting - Priming and painting building interiors and
exteriors, removing graffiti. Painting is done on a pre-determined
schedule. If a department request painting done ahead of this schedule,
then the department's budget will be charged for it.
- Electrical Office - Performs routine and emergency work
on electrical panels, switches, receptacles, light fixtures, electric
heat, electric motors, Parking lot lighting, and outdoor building
lighting.
Installations of new departmental electrical equipment with-in
the limits of existing electrical circuits.
- Plumbing, Heating, Cooling - Focuses on maintaining
building water,
air, and cooling systems in a health conscious and energy
efficient manner.
