Resume Basics

When: Mondays & Thursdays 4:15pm - 5:00pm

Learn the fundamentals of creating a resume that really shines! In this introductory workshop, you will learn how to construct and format your resume to articulate your strengths and skills. Information on resumes and cover letters in a digital world will be addressed as well. Workshop by the Career Center.

Internships 101

When: Tuesdays 4:15pm - 5:00pm

Come learn about the benefits of internships and how to find one (or even create your own!).  We'll explore questions related to internships, including various routes to earn academic credit, details on paid vs. unpaid opportunities, and how to get started on this process. Presented by the Career Center. Workshop by the Career Center

4 Year Plan For Career Success

When: Wednesdays 12:15pm - 1:00pm

This workshop will provide students with more information on the 4 Year Plan. We'll help students see how the 4 Year Plan can be used to guide them while they are at UVM and how it can help them identify their own career process. Students will have time to get their questions answered and they'll identify their next steps. Presented by the Career Center.

LinkedIn Mondays

When: Mondays 11:00am - 2:00pm

Are you on LinkedIn? You should be! Join us for an interactive session where you will get your questions answered, whether you are looking to open an account or you're not sure on how to use it. We encourage participants to bring their laptop as it is an interactive session. These sessions are presented by the Career Center.

Study Abroad 101

When: Tuesdays 3:00pm - 4:00pm, Wednesdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm, Thursdays 11:30am - 12:30pm, Fridays 11:00am - 12:00pm

This mandatory Getting Started Advising Session provides critical information about the types of study abroad programs, and how financial aid, credit transfer and other factors may affect the types of programs you want to consider.  At this session you will be introduced to the iAbroad system. PLEASE BRING YOUR LAPTOP OR NOTEBOOK!
