Coping with Separation and Divorce

A Collaborative Program of University of Vermont Extension & Vermont Family Court


Pre-registration:

Attendance is required of both parents in divorce, separation, parentage, and post-divorce changes within 60 days of service upon a parent.

Pre-registration is required one week before scheduled seminar. Mail the registration form (PDF, Acrobat Reader software required) found in the the program brochure, with the $40/per participant fee to your Family Court. Please send a personal money order if you will be closing your checking account in the next three months. Payments should be written to UVM Extension.

All seminars are held in the Family Courthouse. Plan to attend the seminar that you have requested. No further notification will be given unless there is a conflict.

After attending the full four-hour session, participants will get a certificate to confirm their attendance with the court.

Program content is not appropriate for children.

Special Note:

You may attend the program in any county, but your registration must go to the county where your case is being heard. If you have any questions regarding cancellations due to weather conditions, please call the county court where you will be taking the class. Seminars are held in the Family Courthouse.
