Chancellor, Ellie Fortner-Buczala

Hello! My name is Eleanor Fortner-Buczala, I am a duel major of microbiology and molecular genetics with a chemistry minor. Over the past year I have served as the Sergeant-at-Arms for Alpha Zeta and a senator for the Student Government Association. I have also been involved in research for a microbiology lab and an organic synthesis lab.My goal for Alpha Zeta would to be to create a solid infrastructure to keep members accountable that will be able to continue on after my graduation.

Censor, Ellie Beltran

I am a sophomore Animal Science major on the pre-veterinary track. Before coming to UVM, I took a gap year where I volunteered for six months in South Africa and Guatemala working closely with people, animals, and communities. That experience sparked my passion for community volunteering and service learning. In the future, I hope to further connect my love for animals and passion for helping others by using the knowledge I gain at UVM to improve the world for both people and animals. When I’m not immersed in animal-related activities, I enjoy knitting and riding my motorcycle.

Treasurer, Jennifer Dickinson

My name is Jennifer Dickinson and I am an Animal Science major at the University of Vermont on the Pre-Veterinary tract in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. After graduating from UVM, I hope to further pursue my life-long passion for animals by going to veterinary school and eventually becoming a veterinarian. Through 4-H, I was able to explore dairy science, equine science, plant and soil science, environmental stewardship, and many other subjects which further developed my passion for animals and farming. I work as an assistant veterinary technician at the Milton Veterinary Hospital in Milton, Vermont and at a small goat dairy in Cambridge, Vermont. In my free time I enjoy horseback riding, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors.

Scribe, Katarina Fielding

My name is Katarina Fielding and I am a rising junior animal science major with a Pre-Veterinary Concentration and double minors in Italian and Zoology. I have a passion for exotic and zoo animals and hope that my academic career here at UVM will help me achieve my dream of attending veterinary school, in hopes of pursuing my goal to become a zoo veterinarian. An Alpha Zeta officer position would be a great opportunity for me to build up a solid resume and use my leadership skills in a productive setting. Here at UVM, I am currently an RA and help to supervise 40 residents as well as making programs which help to engage as many residents as possible. I am also a part of the Miss Vermont scholarship Organization and my community service platform is centered around animal conservation.
