Our trips this year will revolve around issues such as environmental conservation/justice, poverty, gender diversity, education inequality, disabilities, and disaster relief work. This year we are planning for fourteen trips with the goal of opening this popular and successful program to more students than ever before. We are currently fundraising within the campus community as well as reaching into the greater Burlington area for sponsorship in an effort to keep costs low for participants and leave some money for ASB in the future to continue this great tradition.
Alternative Spring Break is not only a program that challenges students' views and understandings of their own privilege and the world around them, but it is also one that continues to give back positively to our society. While we are in the midst our fundraising campaigns to support of our trips' expenses, we are still in need of donations in order to reach our monetary goals and make this program as accessible as possible to future participants. We would greatly appreciate your support in any way that you are able.
If you would like to contibute financially to Alternative Spring Break please use the Student Goverment Association Online Giving Form.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about ASB. We appreciate your support! If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us anytime at uvmasb@gmail.com.
