Our trips this year will engage issues such as environmental stewardship, poverty, gender equality, education, disabilities, health, and disaster relief. This year, we will send out 15 groups of 10 students each! We are currently fundraising within the campus community as well as reaching into the Burlington area and beyond in an effort to keep costs low for participants and to create a sustainable program for the future.
Alternative Spring Break is not only a program that challenges students' views and understandings of their own privilege and the world around them, but it is also one that continues to give back positively to our society. While we are in the midst of our fundraising campaigns to support our trips' expenses, we are still in need of donations in order to reach our monetary goals and make this program as accessible as possible to future participants. We would greatly appreciate your support in any way that you are able!
If you would like to contibute financially to Alternative Spring Break please use the Student Goverment Association Online Giving Form and please select "Volunteers in Action - Alternative Spring Break" (at the bottom of the list of clubs) under the 'Select Gift Fund' field and proceed to fill out the remainder of the form.
