Glucose and the Brain: Seeking Women for Research Study
- By Sienna Marie Searles
Seeking healthy women ages 40-60 for a three-visit research study to help us understand how the brain is affected by hormones and insulin. This University of Vermont study will consist of one screening visit (approximately 2 hours) to gather general health information and two study visits (approximately 3 hours each) that will include a brain MRI, questionnaires, and blood samples. One study visit will involve drinking a glucose solution, and the other study visit will involve drinking an equivalent volume of water. Blood sugar levels will be measured periodically during each study visit. We are looking for healthy non-smoking, non-diabetic women who are not currently on anti-depressants. Participants will receive $100 for their time. For more information please contact Sienna at (802) 847-4081.
