Battle of the Bands

What is Battle of the Bands?

Battle of the Bands (BOTB) is a weeklong event that showcases local student bands in Brennan's, and lets students vote their favorites into the Finale.

Who can participate?

Bands with one or more students from UVM can send in a submission.

What is the set length?

The set length will be about 20 minutes long.

How much does it cost? Who can attend?

There is no entry fee for bands, and anyone can attend.

Where is Battle of the Bands taking place?

The preliminary rounds will be in Brennan's Pub and the finale will be in the Grand Maple Ballroom. Both of these locations are in the UVM Davis Center.

What does the winner receive?

The winner of BOTB will be the opening act for Springfest.

What do I have to do to participate?

You need to send in a submission online through the online form or turn in a demo CD to the UPB office located in the SGA offices on the third floor of the Davis Center.

What is provided?

Sound connections and lights will be provided.
You will need to bring your own equipment/instruments.

Important Dates to remember:

Submission Deadline: February 1st
Notification of date of play: Monday, February 4th
Battle dates: February 11th, 12th and 13th
Finale Date: The finale will take place in a place to be determined, on February 15th.
