PLANNING TEAM

The Planning Team is a group of dynamic students who plan events from start to finish. It is made up of five different comittees: Comedy, Traditions, ACE (Arts, Culture, Education), Music and the Executive team. As a Planning Team Member, you will be responsible for brainstorming, logistics coordination and implementation of events. There are opportunities to work collaboratively with other offices across campus, meet celebrities, develop leadership skills and have a BLAST!

EVENTS TEAM

The Events Team is made up of approximately 16 incredible students who work as the production crew. As an Events Team member, you will sign up for shifts on a weekly basis with our Events Team Manager. The shifts include things like: setting up and tearing down spaces, tabling, decorating rooms, working with audio/visual equipment and working with the Planning Team.

Here are a few tips to help you on your way:

  • Talk to students who have been involved with the UVM Program Board.
  • Show us your personality and style through your application as much as possible.
  • Never written a resume? UVM Career Services is an excellent resource for resume writing, application review, and interviewing skills. You can find them online at http://www.uvm.edu/~career/ .
  • Take your time with the application and short answers as they are the best outlets for your character to shine.
  • Make sure to seek out recommendations with plenty of time to spare.
  • Be in contact! E-Mail, call, or schedule a meeting with the Student Life Campus Programs staff. We want to get to know you and make sure that any questions you may have will be answered.
