There are alternative ways of seeing. This ad shows a woman looking straight into the camera, with shoulders square to the frame of the image, communicating a sense of intention, as if she is staring at us with interest, or perhaps defiance. It is a beautiful image. It is also unusual.
Hopefully some day it will be less so.
