Volunteers are invited to participate in an OVERNIGHT TRAVEL research study conducted by Dr. Lisa Aultman-Hall, Professor at the University of Vermont, and Dr. Jeff LaMondia, Assistant Professor at Auburn University.
This study, funded by the US Department of Transportation UTC Program, seeks to determine how people make decisions related to overnight travel, which is a critical (but not well understood) component of transportation planning. Results from this study will be shared with state and federal decision-makers to improve overnight travel congestion, costs, and opportunities.
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete thirteen 5-minute online surveys (one per month) between January 2013 and January 2014. Whether you travel a lot or infrequently, your participation is valuable. In order to qualify, you must be 25 years or older, and multiple people from the same household may participate. Your survey responses will remain anonymous and will only be used for research purposes. Because participants will receive a monthly reminder email to go to a website and complete the survey, volunteers may complete the survey at their convenience.
Every month, an iPad or IPod will be raffled to those who complete their web survey (8 iPads and 5 IPods in total).
