Karen Sentoff has been selected as the TRC Outstanding Student of the Year. As part of the award, Karen will receive $1,000 along with paid attendance to the 2010 TRB meeting in Washington, DC. She will also be honored at a banquet and receive a plaque from the US DOT.

Karen is a candidate for a Masters in Environmental Engineering. She works on the Transportation Research Center's project, "Emissions and Performance of Alternative Vehicles in Northern Climates," led by School of Engineering Associate Professor Holmén, Ph.D. Ms. Sentoff will focus her research on the vehicles' cold-start toxins.
