Transfer students have the similar parking privileges as existing students, however since they are new to the UVM system they have to figure out where they "fit in" regarding parking on campus. Commuting students who live beyond a 1/2 mile radius of campus (known as the Commuter Proximate Area) may park a vehicle on campus.

For the most part, eligibility to park for resident transfer students follows the same rules defined in First Year Parking. However, students who are considered "first year" by transferred credit, but who have attended another secondary institution for two full-time semesters may submit TPS a copy of the transcript (from the UVM Office of Transfer Affairs).
