Post Grad Plans: Wherever the wind takes me!

  Rachel Altman

Major: Social Work with a Psychological Sciences Minor.

Fun Fact: I’ve seen Beyoncé live 6 times and counting.

Involvement at UVM: Champlain Community Services Intern, Respite Caregiver, King Street Center Preschool Volunteer, UVM Alumni House Operations Assistant and Event Manager, Member of Phi Alpha (Social Work Honor Society), Former ASB Site Leader, Former Working with Refugees Service Learning TA, Former Lead RA .

Post Grad Plans: Surround myself with love, do social work of some sorts hopefully in a new and exciting place, have meaningful relationships, and learn more! Eventually I’ll get my MSW too.

  Sonya Buglion Gluck

Major: Integrated natural Resources.

Fun Fact: I am allergic to chocolate.

Involvement at UVM: Black Student Union, Vermont Students Towards Environmental Protections, Writing Center, ResLife, Mansfield Hall.

Post-Grad Plans: Expand Water Wanderings, a summer camp for youth based in experiential education, and building relationships across difference.

  Talia Cramer

Major: Sociology major, Psychological Science minor, and Pre-Health track.

Fun Fact: I love Rally Cat.

Involvement at UVM:Proud four-year employee for the UVM Athletic Department, Treasurer on the Board of UVM Challah For Hunger, member of Alpha Phi Omega (National Service Fraternity), Alpha Kappa Delta (Sociology Honors Society), and Psi Chi (Psychology Honors Society).

Post-Grad Plans: Hangout with my dog Milo! Hopefully attend a nursing program and wear scrubs professionally.

 Hina Rattu (Junior Link)

Major: Neuroscience.

Fun fact: I’ve driven a harley davidson motorcycle.

Involvement at UVM: UVM Tutoring Center Tutor; Personal Care Assistant; Undergraduate Research Assistant; Risk Management & Safety Assistant, Former Orientation Leader; Women of Color Retreat; UVM Greenhouse; Honors College.

Post-Grad Plans: I plan to taste test the finest coffees this world has to offer in hopes to find “the one”, with the right balance of flavor and caffeine, to use in grad school.

 Caitlin Beaudet

Major: Molecular Genetics.

Fun Fact: I have seven pet ducks!

Involvement at UVM: President of the Pre-Medical Club, Shift Leader for Campus Kitchens, Treasurer for Volunteers in Actor, Director of the Alternative Spring Break Program, Member of the Pre-medical Enhancement Program, Member of Mortar Board (Senior Honors Society), Member of Alpha Zeta (Honors Society), Member of the Honors College and writing a thesis on thyroid cancer research, Former Service Trek Site Leader, Next Step Social Justice Retreat Participant, and I work as a Nutrition Care Representative and the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Post Grad Plans: Take a gap year, get a Master’s in Public Health, and then go to Medical school!

 Ivonne Headley

Major: Dietetics, Nutrition, & Food Sciences.

Fun Fact: I love volleyball and play on the UVM Women’s Club Volleyball team.

Involvement at UVM: Black Student Union, Campus Recreation, University of Vermont Conference and Event Services, former Advo-Cat and University of Vermont Program Board member.

Post-Grad Plans: Obtain a Masters in Public Health and become a certified Registered Dietician.

 Pierrette Lumumba

Major: Nursing.

Fun Fact: One of my goals in life is to visit every continent, so far I’ve got 4 down.

Involvement at UVM: University of Vermont Program Board member, Peer Advisor, Former Orientation Leader, WOW Squad member, Tutoring Center, Racial Aikido, Guest Service Specialist at Burlington Health & Rehab.

Post-Grad Plans: Pass the NCLEX to obtain my Registered Nurse license and hopefully travel the world to help those in need.

 Veronica Davis

Major: Film & Television Studies, Mathematics.

Fun Fact: I won third place nationally in the PBS Kids Writers contest when I was six, so I’m basically a nationally recognized author and illustrator.

Involvement at UVM: UVM Math Club (Former Treasurer), Undergraduate Research Assistant, Recipient of Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, Honors College.

Post-Grad Plans: Graduate school in Media Studies. Alternatively, retreat to a cabin in the mountains with copious amounts of coffee, a copy of Hegel’s Science of Logic, and my cats.

 Cayla Hammaker

Major: Exercise and Movement Science

Involvement at UVM: Special Olympics Unified Fitness, Parkinson's Pushback, Honors College - Senior Thesis: "Exploring the Relationship Between Physical Activity and Symptom Severity in Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder", Former VT Adaptive Ski & Sports Intern (current volunteer), Former UVM Outing Club Leadership Development Program Coordinator

Post-Grad Plans: Rescue a pup, embark on some spontaneous adventure, and see where life takes me... likely

 Sonia Zaccheo

Major: Biology B.A. with minor in Anthropology (Global Health Focus).

Fun Fact: Before coming to UVM, I lived in Indonesia and Thailand for a total of five and a half years.

Involvement at UVM: UVM Asian Student Union (Vice President for two years and now Student Advisor); Member of the Premedical Enhancement Program; Tutor with UVM Tutoring Center; Teaching Assistant in Biochemistry and Anthropology Departments; Honors College, Senior Honors Thesis: “Mapping the Food and Nutrition Resources for Resettled Refugees in Chittenden County, Vermont”; Summer Intern with Physicians for a National Health Program; Recipient of College of Arts and Sciences APLE Summer Stipend Award; Former Volunteer Tutor with King Street Center Summer Boost Program; Former Volunteer with Art from the Heart at UVM Medical Center.

Post-Grad Plans: Get a master’s in Global Health and work on health policy with a humanitarian aid organization while applying to medical school.
