Synopsis:
Medieval villains, victims, and fools abound in this timeless tale which chronicles the final days of a family destroyed by greed when a once-mighty king foolishly divides his kingdom between his two wicked daughters and estranges himself from the young daughter who loves him. Revenge, conspiracy, and avarice are woven together with thrilling precision and masterful poetry. The role of Lear marked the farewell performance of retiring faculty member Professor Edward J. Feidner after 35 years of service to UVM.
