Synopsis:
Fasten your seat belts for this funny, harrowing and provocative play that traces a woman's path from adolescence to adulthood, a journey shaped by the charged relationship between Li'l Bit and her Uncle Peck. Using the metaphor of the driving lesson, this memory play unfolds in a series of sharply drawn vignettes, each filled with equal parts anger, gratitude, pain and nostalgia. With both humor and affection Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize winning play asks us to consider the legacies left to us by our families and our abilities to overcome traumas of the past.
