What does an advisor do?
The faculty advisor comes with knowledge of the University, College and department and will assist in making your student life here easier to manage. Please use them as a resource as it is part of their job to be there for you. Please remember that although you advisor offers advice and guidance throughout your time here, you, the student are ultimately responsible for the academic decisions toward your degree.
Set-up an appointment with your advisor.
Declaring a major
Your advisor can best guide you after you have officially declared a concentration. Declaration form on the Registrar's website.
Course substitution, transfer credits, and credit for high school AP courses should be discussed with the department chair rather than the academic advisor.
