Be an Engineer and Make a Positive Difference in The World!
Many communities in Vermont are facing increasing population pressure that affects civil and environmental infrastructure in their towns. Development pressure also puts a strain on the surrounding environment by increasing stormwater runoff and pollution. Stormwater issues have become a major concern for many towns.
The catamount community service learning projects are being integrated into many courses starting in the first-year of the program. The relationship with the local communities will continue over the four years of a student's time in the civil or environmental program resulting in a long-term relationship between engineering and the communities.
