Get ready to be challenged. This course is not business as usual. Throughout this fast–paced, intensive, two–week program, you’ll learn interactively by:
- Competing in a team–based management simulation. (Learn more about the business simulation exercise)
- Meeting with local business leaders and entrepreneurs.
- Participating in an outdoor team building challenge at UVM’s Adventure Ropes Course.
- Taking a field trip to successful local businesses to learn how they remain socially responsible.
- Presenting your team’s work to your fellow students and business partners.
- Building on your team’s strengths to learn from each other.
- Developing your writing and presentation skills to apply for a job and succeed in today’s workplace. (Learn more about career skills)
There are no prerequisites for the course. This is the essential life starter program that will ensure that students will not only know what they need to know in order to find a job and to survive in a business setting, but they’ll also learn real life skills.
