Brenda Beaudette-Kaim ()
Dates: May 19 - June 27, 2014; Prereq: FREN 002 or equivalent
In this course, students will be using a new textbook call "Imaginez" (since last summer) that contains interesting material with plenty of online practice exercises and online assessments. The course is essentially a review of grammar from French I and II, however, students will be applying this grammar in the classroom through discussion of reading material and video. It is my goal to make the course interesting and meaningful.
We will cover the first 5 chapters of the book, however, we will not cover every reading in each chapter. In addition, students will read a short, beautiful story. Students will be expected to manage their time and complete the online practice activities to reinforce learning. Students should expect the course to be challenging, yet fun, where they apply their knowledge in writing and speaking.
Students will take online quizzes and tests. There will be short writing assignments and a final exam. The online practice exercises will be counted as credit for effort as opposed to being graded.
