Business Administration: Business: A Changing World

This course is designed to introduce students to the functional areas of business including accounting, organizational behavior, finance, operations management, information systems, marketing, business ethics and more. The course includes discussions on entrepreneurship and options for organizing business ventures. In addition to this introduction to business, the course will also include coverage of decision making tools with an emphasis on spreadsheet modeling. In addition, core computing concepts including hardware fundamentals, network connectivity, mobile computing trends and operating systems will be presented.

Dates: July 15 - August 9, 2013; SUMMER ACADEMY ONLY by application. Format is two weeks on campus (7/15-7/26) 9:00 am to 3:00 pm MTWR and two weeks online (7/29-8/9); Available to students completing 10th & 11th grades; Residential program only; VT students cannot use their dual enrollment voucher. Students need to apply and supply a transcript and a letter of recommendation. April 1 priority application deadline; Dean's Office permission only
