2017 Summer Course Listing
On-site supervised work experience combined with a structured academic learning plan directed by a faculty member or a faculty-staff team in which a faculty member is the instructor of record, for which academic credit is awarded. Offered at department discretion.
Dates: May 22 - August 11, 2017; Minimum 2.5 GPA required; Must submit application to Prof. Gierzynski for approval prior to registration; Restricted to Jrs and Srs; POLS Mjrs only
This course listing allows political science majors and minors to earn credit for internships that they complete in the summer. Students may earn 1 to 6 credit hours. Students can intern anywhere (need not be in Burlington)
Eligibility for credit is based on class standing (must have finished your sophomore year) and GPA (2.5 or higher). Internship credit is elective credit only and grade is pass/no-pass. Students must apply for credit through Professor Gierzynski (email him at firstname.lastname@example.org for application link or use the section URL above).
Students keep a journal and/or write a paper (depending on number of credits sought) that is submitted at the end of the summer session.
