SAT Prep Course

The University of Vermont’s summer SAT Test Prep course offers serious preparation for the high stakes undergraduate admissions exam.

The University of Vermont understands the vital role that college entrance exams such as the SAT play in college admissions. Acceptance into a student’s school of choice can hinge on his or her performance on these standardized tests. Properly prepared students are more likely to perform to their highest potential. The University of Vermont is here to help students in the Burlington area meet their potential through our SAT Test Prep course offered this summer on campus.

The SAT Test Prep course offers comprehensive preparation for the SAT. This summer course is an intensive test prep class that provides students with the tools they need to prepare for the SAT. The extended format of the SAT prep course leads to greater opportunities for learning and interaction with our expert instructors. Students are provided with an in-depth review of the exam materials, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests, a comprehensive study plan, and all the material one needs to prepare for the SAT.

Instructor: Aaron McGee

Bio: Aaron McGee is an experienced educator with a background in high school education,
test preparation, and continuing education. He is a high school science teacher at
Laraway Youth and Family Services who enjoys helping students reach new levels of
academic success. In addition to teaching science and history at the high school level,
Aaron has worked with students in non-traditional learning environments and served as an
Americorps volunteer. Aaron graduated with honors with a B.A. in History from Northland
College and earned an M.A. in Education from Johnson State College. When he isn’t
teaching, Aaron is a ski and snow board instructor and an active community volunteer.

Online review sessions help students perform at their peak!

The University of Vermont SAT Test Prep course includes 4 online review sessions in the weeks leading up to the fall SAT exam dates. These interactive one hour online review sessions allow students to participate and ask questions of our expert test prep instructors. The live online review sessions are also recorded – students can still benefit even if their schedule doesn’t allow live participation. Students need only have high speed access to the internet, speakers, and Adobe Flash Player to participate in the online sessions. No additional software is required.

Online Review System Requirements: The Live-Online SAT Review sessions are offered online using Adobe Connect software. All you need is a high speed internet connection, speakers, and an Adobe Flash Player, which can be downloaded for free.
