Dual Enrollment at UVM Summer U
A statewide program for high school students to access one college course with tuition fully reimbursed by Next Generation Funds, a Vermont State Legislative funded program.
- Many University of Vermont courses are available through this program including Calculus, Human Biology, Psychology, and English. Courses are offered during the summer and academic school year, online and on campus.
- Funds must be used in the Legislative budget year.
How to participate:
To register for a UVM course using Dual Enrollment: Please complete the online Pre-Registration form.Students are not required to take the Introduction to College Studies course prior to enrolling in a course at UVM. The Next Generation Funds allows one voucher per student to be used during their duration in high school.
A couple of things to point out:
- Always put a first and second course choice, especially for courses during the academic year, as high school students are not registered until 3 weeks prior to course start date and the first choice course may be full. For summer this is not an issue.
- Students/parents are responsible for the comprehensive fee ($10 per credit up to 4 credits – above 4 credits, fees increase) and any other course related fees such as lab and material fees, and books.
