Section Description

This class explores issues of race and racism in contemporary American literature; the selection of texts explore questions of undocumented workers, colorism, the idea(l) of the model minority, and the seemingly invisible status of Native Americans in 21st century America.

Section Expectation

The class is entirely online; there are two short papers (40%) and weekly Blackboard discussion postings/blogs (60%).
