This class will explore Web 2.0 literacy and how tools such as blogs, wikis, twitter, social bookmarking and QR codes can be used to foster collaboration and learning in our schools. Educators in 21st Century schools infuse technology into lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, not as an end, but as a means to develop critical thinking, encourage creativity, and share knowledge. The course reflects learning standards established by the AASL, (2007) Standards for the 21st Century Learner and ISTE (2007, 2008) National Educational Technology Standards for Students- NETS S, and National Technology Standards for Teachers- NETS T.
