Using the Vermont landscape as our classroom and laboratory, we will spend two weeks exploring how our actions impact other components of the system. Through activities, workshops, simulations, experiments and field trips designed to actively engage students in the learning process, participants will develop scientific knowledge and leadership skills needed to take action on critical environmental issues. They will see first-hand how human demands on the environment often threaten the very ecosystems that keep us alive and they will learn about effective policies, practices and emerging technologies that can reduce our impact.
