Through our analyses, you will gain experience in basic biochemical techniques and develop your ability to analyze data and present the findings of your analyses. Concepts we will explore include acid-base properties of amino acids, protein isolation and analysis, enzyme kinetics, carbohydrate chemistry, and lipid properties. Experiments will involve techniques used in a broad range of scientific research such as titration, spectrophotometry, gel electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry.
