The class will meet in person June 1 & 2, 2013. Homework will be due 3 weeks after the class. The Healing Touch level 1 notebook is available in the bookstore. Other Course materials are on Blackboard from May 20 - June 14, 2013. Healing Touch (HT) is a biofield therapy that is an energy-based approach to health and healing. It uses touch to influence the human energy system, specifically the energy field that surrounds the body, and the energy centers that control the energy flow from the energy field to the physical body. These non-invasive techniques utilize the hands to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields thus affecting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and healing. It is based on the heart-centered caring relationship in which the practitioner and client come together energetically to facilitate the clients health and healing. The goal of HT is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system placing the client in a position to self heal. Healing Touch complements conventional health care and is used in collaboration with other approaches to health and healing. A strong commitment to personal growth is required.

Course Objectives: 1. Describe the human energy system relationship to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. 2. Discuss the energy principles basic to Health Touch. 3. Assess the energy field and energy centers. 4. Identify a basic Healing Touch sequence. 5. Demonstrate specific intervention techniques used in Healing Touch 6. Discuss applications of Healing Touch in personal and professional practice.

Documentation of Healing Touch sessions including Magnetic Passes, Magnetic Clearing, Chakra Connection, Headache Techniques, Ultra Sound, Lazer, Chakra Spread 10% b. Self-Assessment 10% c. Development of a self-care plan including self-chakra connection 10% d. Documentation in a self-care journal ? what you did and didn?t do, what worked, what you noticed energetically about your-self especially doing the self-chakra connection. Ten entries. 20%
