About EDSS 197 Z4
Students who took EDSS 197 part I, in which we focused mainly on texts, asked for a follow-up course that would focus on five elements that can be used in eBooks: images, audio, lists, tables, and links, including those used to form an internal table of contents. This course addresses this request by grounding the students in research concerning the roles that these elements can and/or should play in presenting educational materials and design perspectives to help establish criteria for both choosing to incorporate them and creating high-quality examples. Students will gain practice in employing these elements, along with prose text, in products for students they serve through hands-on practice.
