About ASL 051 OL1
This on-line course is a continuation of ASL 002, the third level of American Sign Language and the Deaf Culture. Units 14, 15 and 16 in the textbook will be used. Students will focus on increasing their vocabulary, conversational competence, and grammatical knowledge with a total immersion approach. Complex grammatical aspects including those unique to ASL will be practiced.

DATES: July 15 - August 9, 2013 The course will meet on bigmarker.com, a video conferencing platform on Tuesdays and Thursdays (students MUST have high-speed internet and a webcam or built-in camera). Wednesdays, students will meet online AOL Instant Messenger for one hour and then the rest of the time, they will do online work by watching pre- recorded videos and answering questions via Blackboard and/or via a video they will create and upload onto YouTube.com or Vimeo.com.
