Students learn to report and write news for print, online, and broadcast formats through practical application of media literacy skills and study of current events. Prerequisites: ENGS 001 or ENGS 050.

Learn to report, write and publish in multimedia. This course gives you the chance to learn the standards of good journalism and do practical reporting and writing for newspaper, Web, radio and television.
Textbook reading and writing of multimedia news stories.
Some online quizzes, plus grading of stories based on news value, editing, organization and other important factors relating to news writing.
